This autumn can you help support Chesterfield Foodbank with their harvest appeal?

Since the coronavirus pandemic began, food banks in the Trussell Trust network have seen a huge surge in need as more and more people find themselves unable to afford the essentials. In Chesterfield we have particularly seen an increase in families needing help since the pandemic began. This simply is not right, and this Harvest we want to make a difference by working together as a community to transform lives here in Chesterfield.

Chesterfield Foodbank supports individuals and families in crisis by providing emergency food supplies, as well as signposting people to agencies that can help resolve longer-term problems. The 2019 Harvest Appeal generated an amazing 5.7 tonnes of food and toiletries for the foodbank which enabled us to serve record numbers of people in crisis. Food banks rely on voluntary donations to provide this vital service to our community, and lots of these food donations come from Harvest collections. #

We want to make sure Chesterfield Foodbank can support as many people as possible at this time – and you can help by joining our Harvest Appeal.

If you’d like to support Chesterfield Foodbank this autumn, please get in touch with us on 07984 589456 or to get involved and request resources for your collection.

If parishioners would find it easier to donate money at this time then our bank details are:
