Grace Chapel invite you to join them in 24 hours of prayer for Chesterfield.  It begins on July 6th at 7.30 am and ends on July 7th at 7.30 am.  There will be a time of worship between 7 pm -  9 pm.

Anyone is welcome to join in at any time during the day or night or wee small hours.  Various church leaders from across the town will be leading sessions during the day.

As in the story Jesus told of the persistent widow, we know that God will respond when we faithfully petition him in prayer for our town.  We know much is accomplished unseen in the heavenly realms when we pray and believe through this event over the last few years lives in Chesterfield have been transformed.

Please support if you can.

You’re all invited to come along to have fun!

Where?: Langer Fields, Langer Lane, Birdholme

When?: Saturday 23rd June anytime from 12.00 – 4.00pm

There will be a churches together stall and Umbrellas stall - doing crafts; games for children; opportunities to discover more about the Umbrellas project; prayer if people ask; just us being Jesus in the community!

There is a gala being held all day with a fun fair, lots of different stalls, time of prayer and blessing for the new playground equipment, refreshments etc.

Please come along and show your support!

WHAT DOES FREEDOM REALLY LOOK LIKE? We try and maintain the momentum, but life keeps adding yet more challenges! With home and family pressures, workplace challenges, health and relationships – it’s difficult to know what’s worth keeping up and what to let go. But as Christian women our identity lies not in the season of our lives, nor in our roles and responsibilities – but in Christ.

You will come away with.

The confidence to be who you were designed to be.
Tips on how to impact others right where you are.
A deeper revelation of how loved you are.
An understanding of the power of vulnerability
A fresh perspective of how God sees you.

Is it for you?

This event is perfect for all women at any stage of life whether you are a high-heels or wellies person, a Netflix fanatic or a coffee shop lover. We hope this event will be a huge encouragement to you.

Dear Friends,

You will know, I hope, that Christians Together for Chesterfield are partnering the local Stand up to Racism group in welcoming Syrian refugees locally .

The secretary of SutR, Jeannie Robinson has recently asked if people can help in providing the following items:

Tall freezer
Snall table/desk
Garden table
Children’s football net
Garden games

If you can help, ring Jeannie on 0791 948 6101

Alternatively, money is useful in buying all sorts of necessary and useful items to supplement the basics provided by the local authority.  We have a facility to receive and to pass on donations through our treasurer, Jeff Kitts, who is at 46 Alexandra Road West, S40 1NP.  Cheques payable to Christians Together for Chesterfield, but adding a covering note ‘for support of local Syrian refugees@.

Thank you,

Paul King
