The shop on Chatsworth Road is in urgent need of volunteer helpers.

Message from: Dave Bunting, Chair of Christians Together for Chesterfield

To: All Christians in Chesterfield

Hi Everyone,
We are really looking forward to everyone joining together for the CTfC Songs of Praise on Saturday 23rd January 6.30pm at Annunciation Church in the new year. Judging by the hundreds of you have ventured to join us over the last few years, you have enjoyed the evening too.
This time we would really like to give opportunity for people to give glory to God for what he has done over the last year in the lives of local people. Have you got a story of God's power at work in your life? It might be healing or a change in circumstances in response to prayer? Has something amazing happened that you know could only have been God at work? Have you found a relationship with God in this last year that has transformed your life? Have you got a story to tell that will encourage and inspire?
Please get in touch with us we would love to hear from you.

Chesterfield Modern Slavery Conference

The Bishop of Derby, the Rt. Revd Dr Alastair Redfern

Saturday, 5 December 2015 from 10:00 to 14:30

St Barnabas Centre
Pilsley Road
S45 9BU Danesmoor

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 has placed new obligations and responsibilities on the public, private sector and individuals to stop human trafficking and to support the survivors. Unfortunately modern slavery and human trafficking will not stop unless there is more awareness raising and partnership work.
The Chesterfield Modern Slavery Conference will provide an opportunity for guests to learn about modern slavery and human trafficking from both a national and local perspective. There will be presentations from David Kennedy of Stop the Traffik; representatives from the local statutory agencies; and Rachel Mullan-Feroze - a victim support charity based in Sheffield; and DI Harry Dick of Derbyshire Police. There will be a number of workshops. Refreshments will be provided and there will be space for networking.
The event is open to all.
Tickets are free but need to be booked in advance using this link:

3rd Brampton Badge Logo There has been little change in the leader situation for both the Cubs and Beaver sections. The Group is still in desperate need of leaders, and this situation must be resolved by Christmas. The long standing plea to parents from the Group, for more volunteers to help across the sections and help with the general running of the Group, still stands.

Cub Scout Leader and Group Scout Leader.

The Cub section will shut at Christmas unless new leaders are found to run the section. If you think that you might be able to fill either of these roles, or would like to discuss further, please speak to our current GSL (or Cub leader) as soon as possible. They will be available this Friday night, or can be contacted here. Please also take a look at the volunteering post here.
