Final reminder that we have a Christians Together for Chesterfield Forum meeting tonight 7.30pm at Central Methodist Church (Meeting Room 3), Saltergate.

This meeting is open to representatives from all churches and is an opportunity to catch up with what has been going on over the last few months and to find out what is coming up between now and the summer.

‘Crackpots’ is a ministry directed by Jayne Mellor, which goes into primary schools in the area to run assemblies consisting of bible stories, songs, prayer and lots of fun! Their mission and goal is that God’s story would be told to the children of this area.

Psalm 78 v 4 “We will not hide them from their children, we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power and wonders he has done.”

During 2012 The Crackpot Company was put on hold for a while. It was during this time that Sue Sawyer decided to step down as director and would be seeking God for a replacement....

“This is where I come in! Hi everyone, my name is Jayne. I have been married to a wonderful man John for 32 years, we have 3 beautiful grown up children and now a grandson. I work at Tupton Hall School as a Learning Mentor, part time and I love my job. I have been working with the Crackpot Company since 1998.

When Sue announced her retirement in July 2012, I had no intentions of taking on such a huge responsibility because I had other plans, like looking after my grandson and doing what I wanted. After all, I had given up a lot of time, effort and jobs in order to be involved with the Crackpot Company. So, I too thought I would retire too. However, God had other ideas. He began to talk to me about who would tell the children about Him and His great love for them. He asked me if I would do it. Of course, I said ‘Yes, I will tell the children about You’. So on the 16th March 2013 I was appointed and anointed Director of The Crackpot Company”

The Crackpot Company is now up and running again and doing a terrific job.  Jayne and the team would love an opportunity to come and show your church exactly what they do by delivering a sample of what they do in school.  You will be impressed by the quality of the production, the clarity of the gospel message they are bringing to children and you'll have fun!  Maybe you could consider joining the team in this important ministry.
