Research has shown that there is a gap in provision for support to parents who
are abused by their child/children. “Everybody Hurts” addresses this need.
Survival of the group depends on successful marketing and attracting funding
in the current climate of cut backs. We are looking for a freelance worker to
expand and develop funding streams in order to market and successfully set up
additional support groups. They will also be required to establish a volunteer
programme and deliver awareness presentations.
It is essential the successful candidate has an *extensive knowledge of Child to
Parent abuse and the effects it has on families. They must also have a nonjudgemental
attitude, counselling experience and the ability to write and
deliver training programmes for group members.
The role is based primarily in Chesterfield, although there will be a
requirement to attend events around the county which may be in the evening
or weekends.

* Extensive knowledge of Child to Parent Abuse, the effects on the child,
parents, siblings and the financial/social problems caused by the abusive child
and have a non- judgemental attitude. This is fundamental to the post.
