Christian Day Nursery, out of school & holiday clubs

Salary up to £30,000 including bonus

Promises is a 40 place day nursery with associated out of school club and holiday club operating from an attractive, modern, purpose built family centre situated at the heart of a mixed residential area close to the Peak District. Our aim is to provide families in the community with the best of early years’ child care, gently shaped by Christian faith and values.

After 10 successful years, we are now recruiting a new manager to lead the nursery into a period of development which includes responsibilities to further:-
• develop a culture of care where the individual needs of children are met alongside a daily programme of stimulating activities to meet and surpass EYFS requirements
• build, organise, support and mentor a strong team of caring staff who are committed to the highest professional standards
• form close relationships of co-operation with parents and/or carers and develop a range of services to meet their needs.

The manager will be expected to secure and maintain high occupancy levels as well as comply with Ofsted and all relevant regulatory requirements. The manager will be supported by an experienced, multi-disciplinary, volunteer management team and a strong financial administration resource.

We are seeking a manager who:-
• is able to combine the provision of high quality child care and early years’ education with the ability to work relationally with families in the community
• is a graduate/NVQ level 4 in early years/teaching or has NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or a related subject or preferably EYPS or QTS in Early Years’ Education
• has a minimum of two years’ experience post qualifying as a deputy or manager in a child care setting working with the O to 5 age range
• is a person with a sincere and committed Christian faith evidenced in their values and lifestyle
• is looking for a challenging but very fulfilling role which makes a difference to people’s lives.

This role carries a GOR (Genuine Occupational Requirement) for the post holder to be a committed Christian.
